Sustainability Guidelines for Guests & Vendors

VegFest of Eastern Iowa plans to make this event as low waste as possible.
By following these simple guidelines, you can contribute to our sustainability goal!

Guests:

  • Carpool if you can!

  •  We encourage you to bring your own reusable water bottle, if possible. Drinking fountains are available on each floor of the venue near the restrooms.

  • Please bring your own reusable bag to carry purchased items.

  • Please do not throw recyclable items into the trash. Appropriate collection points will be provided for all materials.

  • Dispose of all food scraps, napkins, and compostable tableware at compost collection points.

  • If you have questions about disposal, ask a volunteer!

Vendors:

  • Food vendors must use only compostable disposable containers and utensils.

  • Vendors will be expected to dispose of compostable waste generated by prep/clean-up in the designated bin, not in the trash.

  • Vendors are asked not to provide plastic bags and bottled water.

Thank you for your cooperation in being mindful of the world around us!

Venue Accessibility

Parking: There are a limited number of designated parking spaces in each parking lot for those holding disabilities permits. Passenger drop-off at the front entrance of the building is welcome!

Building: The front entrance, all exits, and all rooms inside the building are wheelchair accessible.

There is a passenger elevator available.

Amenities

There will not be an ATM on site, so please remember to bring enough cash if you plan to shop.

Most vendors also accept credit cards.

Animal Policy

Only certified service animals will be allowed at VegFest of Eastern Iowa.
Because the event is mainly indoors and could become somewhat crowded, it would be best for companion animals to stay safely at home. Thank you for your understanding!
